  1. A request unrelated to the material here (and sorry if this is an inappropriate place for it). Could you please please please help us understand what’s going on with the pandemic deniers and minimizers? I don’t think this “movement” is homogenous, but they seem to have traits in common. There’s a lot of overlap with the political cult that seems to have brainwashed many people, but it’s not confined to that cult. Is pandemic denial a form of neurosis to avoid feelings of mortality? There’s a selfishly infantile component, impulse control issues, anti-social behavior. But what’s going on? The mentality and behavior on display is incomprehensible to me. “There’s a lot of very stupid people” doesn’t explain anything.
