  1. What are your reasons for holding this belief? How many politicians in Washington DC have you met personally? The reason that I ask is that I hear or read people saying things like “all politicians are equally bad”, “they’re all the same”, and “both sides are equally bad”. When I’ve questioned people about these statements, they sometimes admit that their belief isn’t based on personal knowledge or study. They sometimes say that “everyone knows it to be true”. Sometimes, they’ll find an example of two politicians that were unable to reach an agreement, and say, “See? Both are equally bad!”, even though they don’t know any of the circumstances around the disagreement. So, I’m curious as to how you reached your conclusions that most politicians are made, regardless of their political affiliation.
