  1. They didn’t break any pact with Christ. All they need to do to maintain the pact is believe that Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection has saved them. Then they are enjoined to love God with all their heart and do unto others as they would have others do unto themselves, which are the two commandments of the Christian covenant with God. The first is easy. And so is the second, which is why Evangelicals arm themselves to the teeth and dare others to come at them.

  3. Some denominations of Christianity actually embrace the teachings of Jesus and have empathy for the suffering. I know a lot of Mormons who are good people, and by and large they care about those that suffer and do their part to give succor. It’s not long ago that their forefathers were persecuted by other Christians and had to flee west to Utah. However, the humanistic values of Mormon Christianity seem to be eroding as evangelical maga Christianity gains a toe hold in Utah. Four years ago, the majority of Mormons weren’t having what Trump was selling. These days, I’m not so sure.
