  1.  @howardkerr8174 Romney is still a U.S. Senator. Do you and bjohnson know that and know the difference between a Senator and a Congressman? You know the Senate and the House are two separate chambers, right? I know this comes off as insulting, but some people seem unaware of this. I also like discussions with a basis in reality. There is a 0% chance of Romney becoming Speaker of the House. Cheney’s chance is so low it might as well be 0. I have no idea what happens next, but I do know that some things will not come to pass. Nevertheless, here is my prediction. At some point, either the reasonably sane but cowardly and craven congresspeople will come running to the Dems, or they will give in and become pod-people. Given their cowardice, it will be the later. The MAGAs are trying to grind out any hidden resistance. If you publicly supported Trump but had reservations in private, they’re hunting you down. This isn’t the Grand Old Party. This is the Donner Party. That might sound like a joke until you realize that they’re going to nominate Hannibal Lecter for President.

  3. It’s a slippery slope. If we allow homosexuals the right to marry other homosexuals, pretty soon homosexuals will demand the right to marry non-homosexuals. That’s just as bad as cats marrying dogs.
