  4. I’m not sure if that’s true. Many of his supporters couldn’t believe what happened, or how suddenly it happened. Remember, it happened relatively quickly. Many who didn’t know better expected Nixon to fight the impeachment. His resignation came as a shock. My grandmother admired Nixon greatly, and it was months before she fully accepted the truth about Nixon. You might be right, but you’ll need to show us some polling data from the time of Nixon’s resignation.

  6. Well, yeah, if you attempt to overthrow the country and install yourself as dictator, you might lose some popularity. Frankly, that he even has over 30% popularity is a testament to his obdurate supporters and their delusional worship of the man.
