@BigSkyCurmudgeon Apparently a lot these tanks don’t have explosive reactive armor to defend against HEAT rounds. They have the ERA boxes attached to the hull, but the boxes are empty or filled with cardboard. Oh, Russian corruption, you’re soooo naughty!

@foreverhungry84 or open field maneuver with large masses of tanks. But the Russians seem to stick to the roads, like they’re afraid to take the tanks cross country.

@chiron13 No, dude. No one literally buries a tank when the crew dies like this. They have to send someone inside with wire brush, a scraper, and one of those dirt devil automotive vacuums, and then they pour the ash and the uncooked bits into a regular wooden coffin.

@mepp_rider7221 Yeah, those paratroop units choppered in were supposed to be reinforced immediately and relieved within 72 hours by those tank columns that got stuck on the road. The reinforcements got shot down because Russia never managed to establish significant air superiority. You’ve heard of the WWII operation Market-Garden? Let’s just say that Russia’s initial plan was “an airport too far”.
