  3. It’s a good idea to investigate and to have a watchdog agency. The redevelopment board might be completely honest, but it’s better to check.

  4. Gentrification is bad for almost everyone except developers, unethical local politicians/zoning commissioners, and wealthy newcomers. I get how a uhaul business would be an eyesore in a gentrified downtown. If the city leaders and the developers want to gentrify, they should be willing to buy the business or pay move it to a location agreeable to the business owner and make any improvements required.
