  1. This is what they will use to nail the sheriff. They might get him on abuse under color of law, lying to judges to obtain the warrants, etc., but it’s the misappropriation of public funds charges that will be most clear cut and not subject to interpretation. There’s no wiggle room.

  2. KGO has been hitting the misappropriation of public funds angle on this story. Airfare, hotel, meals, and the “investigating” officers were paid overtime. The county supes are asking questions, so this ain’t over.
