So is maximum force response. If police had ascertained the situation for five minutes instead of getting into a forward posture, this probably wouldn’t have happened. They unnecessarily exposed themselves to possible danger (if it had been a hostage situation). They’ve reduced their response options to shooting the supposed suspect but if the hung back a little they could have discovered the person represented no threat. It was the cops themselves that put themselves in this position.

Imagine hearing a lot of ruckus and people shouting. You go out to look and see a bunch of police who begin shouting commands. You might not realize they’re shouting commands at you. Why should you? You were just at home, watching TV, reading a book, taking a nap, or whatever. But something’s definitely up! Maybe the neighbors? You take out your self phone to record the goings on, and . . . Jesus Christ, that’s scary.

@robrobinson8597 Agreed. It’s not just Roe. The majority on the court has been imposing decisions that are radically constructivist in the supposed attempt to “reconstruct” the supposed original intentions of the framers of the Constitution. The Trump appointees are not acting as judges, but as ideological advocates trying to game the system. I never thought it would come to this. I don’t say this lightly, but Biden needs to appoint more justices. A year ago I would have opposed this idea.
