  1.  @derosime  That’s a nutty idea. It wouldn’t pull Ukrainian forces away from other sectors because it is better defended now. Russia doesn’t have enough soldiers in Ukraine to even attempt it. They’ve lost the element of surprise. Belarus won’t do it because the dictator needs to protect against an uprising. The purpose of the original attack was to kill or capture Zelensky or force him to flee, and then set up a puppet government. There is no way that will happen now.

  2. Russia winning will not stop Russia’s violence. Ukraine winning will. Providing the appropriate weapons and aid will help Ukraine win sooner.

  3. The German SPGs and the HIMARS have been instrumental in preparing the battlefield, especially wrt to degrading Russia’s ability to defend the Kherson airspace and wrt disrupting logistics. The strikes in Crimea were designed to disable long range air defenses and aircraft. The attacks on the bridges are degrading the Russians’ resupply, if not cutting the supply lines completely. (It will be sufficient to slow down resupply and nearly impossible to cut it completely.)
