Perhaps a better channel for your energy is doing something to help Democrats win the Georgia runoff elections. Rioting at Mitch’s house won’t limit his power, taking away his majority actually hurts him.

@chrissweep Basic human nature hasn’t changed in 200 years. It probably hasn’t changed in 20,000 years. You can argue that McConnell is exploiting a bug in the system, but that weakness has been there from the beginning. The most obvious and easiest patch is via voting and we will see this next week in Georgia if the first attempt will take hold. The next opportunity to change the balance of power is the 2022 midterm elections. Something I discovered over the last 4 -5 years is that when voting doesn’t accomplish your goals, there is more to do, more you can do within the democratic framework, such as organize and mobilize the vote. People are too damn eager to talk revolution when things don’t fall the way they wanted (but luckily they’re too lazy to do the hard and dangerous work of organizing a revolution). And yes, there are democratic steps beyond elections, such as amending the constitution. That’s more difficult than winning elections, but it’s an option we have before we start smashing things.
