  1. There’s some question whether or not the anti-bodies produced are fully effective in preventing re-infection. There’s already been one case of a person being infected a second time that I read about a few months ago. (I don’t know if there have been other cases or what the follow up was on the first case.) So that’s the main reason for taking the vaccine after you’ve already had the infection. Another reason would be if you were constantly exposing yourself to risky contacts with large groups of people—this is why frontline medical workers are being prioritized.
