She was concerned I was being exposed to radical ideas without having a counterweight. Solzhenitsyn provided that counterweight to the fine ideals of Marxism. I have no problems with Marxism being taught in our universities. As a framework of analysis, Marxism is very useful. But it’s works like GULAG Archipelago that show its deficiencies as a social prescription.
