  1. They’ve got something up their sleeve. The iMac Pro was long in the tooth, and Apple could have just upgraded the specs. We’re pretty sure Apple is on the verge of releasing new iMacs. We know Apple excels at market segmentation. The question is, will a high end Apple silicon AIO (aka an iMac) fill the product category or will they introduce a monitorless mid tower? Something expandable like the Pro tower, but with fewer expansion options, is what I’m thinking: fewer bays, fewer RAM slots, fewer expansion slots (one for graphics card, one open slot). The iMac Pro was a sweet spot for many users, for whom the Mac Pro tower was overkill and too expensive. So I think it’s possible Apple will release a mid size or mini tower for this segment of the market. My biggest question is more about under-the-hood considerations, specifically how will Apple handle expandable unified memory? Or will they just not allow user upgradeable RAM on Apple silicon products?
