  1. I wouldn’t care if they brought McCarthy back, if he broke from Trump and MAGA, and lead the house as a coalition of bipartisan centrists. If there a Dems and Republicans willing to operate in good faith and assert the power of the center, even a POS weakling like McCarthy could do the job. I don’t blame the Dems for staying out of the GOP’s way as it self-immolates. But if they can find any half-way decent partners in the GOP conference, I hope they can find the means to cooperate.
