  1.  @adithya1791  That is incorrect. These chips are designed by Apple based on ARM64 architecture and use the ARM instruction set. These are the first generation of Apple Silicon designed for general purpose laptops/desktops. ARM did not design these Chips. ARM provided the reference. The cores are not ARM cores. Apple licenses the architecture not ARM cores. Your second comment is also incorrect. These are not ARM SOCs. The M1 has an Apple designed SOC. Are you in the habit of speaking authoritatively about areas in which you are ignorant?
