  2. The 2nd Amendment isn’t just a right, it’s our responsibility. Gun carrying should be mandatory for everyone over the age of 12, but I wouldn’t stop at guns. Each of us just be required to carry a tactical nuke with us. This would lead to a polite and respectful society and most importantly: mental health, psychological counseling, and anger management would finally get the attention they deserve. We would be forced as a nation to find mature and peaceful methods of conflict resolution, lest someone “blows up” in anger. Also, “Good Guy with a Nuke” sounds kinda cool.

  5. I think this is just the modern version of the good old fashioned “Hatfield and McCoy” feud. America is about progress while also embracing our traditions.

  6. I’ll admit that’s a possible outcome. On the other hand, if everyone carried a firearm, people might become more friendly, polite, and respectful of each other’s feelings. Combine mandatory carry with gun equality for women and domestic abuse would disappear completely.

  7. Only one person dead? This is small potatoes compared to Charles Whitman’s 1966 shooting spree in Austin (killing 14 and wounding 31). Austinite shooters are slackers. People who think shooting sprees are new are ignorant of history.

  8.  @maybeso1547  You’re over generalizing, and lumping in the vision impaired with common criminals who watch too many movies. If you have mere seconds to respond to a threat, do you want to get a shot off in the general direction of the threat or do you want to waste time messing around with your bifocals and getting them lined up with the sights and the target? I opt for the former. My friends and family have learned to dive for cover when ever there’s a loud noise that might startle me.
