@For891 Large twin engine turbo prop? That is not going to get you out of a flat spin. Your control surfaces, including the rudder, are not going to do anything to slow down the spin. They can’t overcome the rotational momentum.

@EngineeredChannel We don’t know for sure, but I 100% think you’re correct. They must have hit some exceptional conditions that the de-icing equipment couldn’t handle. I just saw this in the Blanco Lirio channel, and that’s what Juan Brown thinks. We’ll know more when they read the data off the flight controllers. It’s terribly disappointing but not surprising to see the racist comments against “3rd World” pilots.

It’s gotta be severe icing. The plane has features to counteract normal icing, but if they encountered exceptional moisture at that elevation and didn’t get out of it immediately, there was nothing to be done.

@cherriberri8373 Are you an aviator? It doesn’t sound like you are. It sounds like you are confidently speaking about a subject of which you have little understanding. Don’t feel bad for not understanding it. Aviation is pretty freaking complicated. There’s a handful of good channels (that I know of) that can educate you about aviation and air accidents. A good one is Blanco Lirio, and he’s already posted a video on this tragic incident. Then you can offer (or abstain from offering) a more educated opinion instead of just excepting your lips.
