  2.  @freemanreed5228  I’m glad my joke question actually led to an interesting discussion about stand-off range. One thing I am curious is shooting past the theoretical maximum line of site. The earth’s curvature limits LOS to (roughly) 5,000 meters for a 6’ tall person. So going beyond 5,000 meters presents interesting challenges. Some are more or less solved, others aren’t but could be. To be clear, I’m thinking about projectile rounds, not guided rockets. What would you call this? Indirect direct-fire? Battlefields have been getting interesting, even without ducks, and they will continue to get more interesting.
