@mattwolf7698 Yes, it’s a rebranding of “politically correct”. Ten years ago I debated a Washington Redskins fan about whether or not embracing that name was respectful or decent to others. I was willing to admit that sometimes it was necessary to hurt people’s feelings by using direct language. I was getting him to admit that building a brand around a racial slur was not respectful nor decent. It was in fact bad. That’s the give and take of debate over complex issues like free speech, right? I concede a point to win a point. Nope. That’s not how it works with a contortionist willing to twist himself into a pretzel to win an argument. His rebuttal was that being a decent human with respect for his fellow humans was a SLIPPERY SLOPE that would inevitably lead to tyranny and mind control. How do you argue with someone who places such a high value on being an ass? You can’t.
