  1. I think you’re wrong—this was the only way to promote it (or at least it was the lesser of bad options). Despite people’s opinions of Morgan, they will be drawn to the drama, either to see “Trump defend himself and take the awful Piers down a peg”, or to see “Trump run away when confronted by the TRUUUUTH”. Both groups will watch the same thing and come away with different conclusions. It helps that their conclusions are pre-formed. Keep in mind that the liberals will embrace a conservative that has “accepted the facts” by their lights. For those in the middle that are not loyal to either political faction, well, we have a morbid curiosity about train wrecks.
