  2. Shrapnel can be just as damaging as a bullet. Objectively, it’s not important which grazed Trump, causing his ear to bleed. He’s lucky that it didn’t hit him in the eye, whether it was a bullet or a fragment of glass or metal. It’s weird that they’re trying to construct a heroic narrative that requires that Trump was hit by a bullet. Thousands of U.S. soldiers have been killed or severely crippled by fragments, probably hundreds of thousands of soldiers. Is it the Trump campaign’s contention that these soldiers are less heroic than those killed or injured by bullets? They’re such weirdos.
