  1. It’s truly insane. This bill was negotiated using Ukraine as a hostage. The Senate GOP basically held a gun to the Ukrainians’ collective head and got Biden and the Dems to cave in to their demands. Call this evil if you want, but it was damn effective. The GOP beat the Dems. The “compromise” bill was a Republican victory. Everyone knew it. Biden and the Dems were prepared to eat the shit sandwich because Ukraine is that important to our national security. Along comes Donald Trump to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The entire GOP political class (plus a million bots) walks away from a game-winning touchdown, because it wouldn’t benefit Trump if they won. It’s nucking futz. They had it all. All they had to do was pass the damn bill and they could campaign as winners of a great victory over the Dems. But noooooooooooooo! Edited to remove too many “ands”.
