@MJJFilms We actually don’t know all the nations and leaders, because Pompeo is intercepting and blocking those calls and communications that are going to the State Department.

@jenise2503 We should also note that as far as the GOP is concerned, campaign debt is whatever they say it is. This is effectively a slush fund that the Trumps can use to enrich themselves.

@Robby4291 I disagree, Peter. There is almost nothing left of the GOP that isn’t firmly in the grip of the authoritarian and racist Trumpers. Republican voters? The majority of the rank-and-file support Trump, some (the base) fanatically so. Which is not to say that there isn’t a minority of Republicans that don’t support Trump and that don’t support the party that maintains his ownership of the party. But that minority needs to do what many of us have already done. Leave the GOP. Cut their association with what is now a white supremacist authoritarian party. I’m sorry to say this, but it’s true. The probability we can save the party are 0.0001% slim. Far better that we form a new party and let the non racist pro American democracy conservatives consciously join it. The cancer went too deep. The GOP is the cancer.

So, I have a question about the Senate. Can Republican Senators join the Democratic Caucus (just as independents do) to take give Democrats the majority and Schumer the leadership? Yes, this would damage their careers in the Republican Party. It might be effectively a suicide mission. But is it theoretically possible?

@JonPais However, there is an interesting statistic. Of those registered Republicans that voted for Trump in 2016, 8% did nothing in 2020. That’s not enough to save the GOP, but it does mean that a significant fraction were able to leave the cult. I think this signifies that 8% or more can be persuaded to stop supporting the party that Trump controls (and will continue to control for the foreseeable future). This fraction won’t win primaries, but can tip the balance in general elections. And that is the purpose of the Lincoln Project, to target and persuade those Republican voters who are coming to their senses.

@SanDiegoHarry1 FWIW, I left the GOP in 2006, after 24 years as a Republican. And I mostly agree with you. But as a practical matter (winning elections), shouldn’t we, the AntiTrump Pro Democracy (ATPD) conservatives be allowed to persuade any Trump voters that can be brought to their senses? Demonize the cult, but not demonize those that we can bring out of the cult, those that can be deprogrammed. I get that you’re bitter. I’m bitter! And we know that many in the GOP are far too indoctrinated, are in effect far too mentally ill, to leave the cult. But don’t you have hope for some? Aren’t there a few Republicans you know that you once thought were reasonable? Maybe they aren’t too far gone. Maybe they are persuadable. Maybe those few can become a trickle, and that trickle can aid you in turning the Southern California map blue.

@Thejbirdy And all 100 of us are subscribed to this channel. 😉 LOL. The truth is, there are millions, perhaps even five million nationwide, that didn’t support Trump. Of those registered Republicans that voted for Trump in 2016, 8% were not willing to vote for him again in 2020. Sadly, 8% sounds like there were too many that did support Trump. But 8% can win or lose elections.

A little 3-in-1 oil did the trick for me. 😉
