Yang was a one trick pony. Universal income was his strongest pitch, and he focused almost exclusively on that. It’s an interesting idea and I’m glad he brought it into the mainstream, but that single differentiator wasn’t going to win him the nomination or even current political relevance. It’s an idea the Democrats put on the back burner, but at least it’s on the stove.

@captainhakob814 That’s not how court cases work. If your best witnesses fail, you don’t get to bring in 100s of poorer quality witnesses. Go sit in a courtroom every day for a month. You’ll see that a lot of pretrail work is attorneys and the court hashing out which witnesses will be called. An unethical attorney could prolong a trial indefinitely if he or she was allowed to call an endless list of witnesses.
