This is great news that there is a plan to roll out rapid testing nationwide, but meanwhile, there are still massive delays on current testing. We also know that the rapid tests have a 15% false negative rate, so aren’t a replacement for full tests (which aren’t perfect either). Why does the administration continue to fight against testing asymptotic people? And let’s say the administration actually implements this plan successfully? Testing is only 50% of the solution. What is the plan for contact tracing? Testing lets us know where the hotspots are emerging, contact tracing helps us control the spread in those hotspots. I’m very concerned about the economy, but the economy is not going to recover until the pandemic is under control. Right now it’s worsening and the actions of the president and the GOP are prolonging the pandemic.
