  1.  @DeansLists  Actually, the foreign aid provisions were in Trump’s budget request. TRUMP was FOR the spending before he was against it. This is why members of both houses were taken by surprise when Trump refused to sign the combined omnibus and relief bills. Also, many people seem to be very bad at math. If the foreign aid was converted into pandemic relief, it would add less than $50 to each direct stimulus payment (the most generous conversion being almost $50, more conservative conversions amounting to $15-20).

  3. He’s taking aim at McConnell on his way out. Perdue and Loeffler are just collateral damage; they’ve been loyal to the President and he has no reason to hurt them . . . no reason other than throwing them under the bus removes Mitch McConnell from power. McConnell’s first “sin” against the President was recognizing Biden as President-Elect. This was an ultimate betrayal, a dagger-in-the-back in Trump’s mind. The second was not including section 230 in the defense bill (because it makes no sense that it should be there). The third is McConnell not going along with the objection stunt, and discouraging his caucus from participating. The fourth is overriding Trump’s veto of the defense bill. All of McConnell’s substantial power as Senate Majority Leader hinges on the Georgia election. Trump has been less than 100% helpful to the two GOP Senate candidates since the November election. He has campaigned for them, but his rallies tend to really be about him. He did a lot of fundraising in Georgia . . . for himself! His crack squad of election-overturners have suggested that Republican voters boycott the election. And now, today, he’s come out with a series of tweets claiming that the upcoming election itself is illegal and fraudulent. These are not the actions of a political leader overly concerned about his followers or the well being of his party.

  12.  @jyin475  You should join us. Once I decided to only believe Trump, everything became a lot easier. I no longer have to read or listen to the news. I don’t have to take in unpleasant facts, or examine my assumptions. In short, I no longer have to learn. I can turn off that unquiet part of my mind that was used for critical thinking, and devote all my mental energies into hating President Trump’s enemies, whoever they happen to be that day. Yes, swallowing the red pillow seems difficult at first but it becomes easier over time, just as when you are asleep and dream you’re eating a giant marshmallow. I’m much happier now, despite my anger. Perhaps happy isn’t the right word. I know. I’m much more smug and self-satisfied, now that I just believe President Trump and nothing else. MAGA!!1l!!.
