  1. NATO wasn’t installing offensive weapons in Cuba. It wasn’t even installing offensive weapons in the new NATO member states in the Baltic countries. Putin has stated his reasons: he wants Ukraine. He wants to reconstitute the old borders of the Soviet Union. There really is no analogy with Cuba here.

  2. To do that means shooting down Russian aircraft and attacking their ground based air defense. What you want requires attacking Russia. Attacking Russia probably means nuclear war.
