@Timmy I suppose that fact that you can provide no evidence that evidence is being suppressed is further evidence of a conspiracy to hide evidence. But have you considered Time Travelers? Time Travelers could go back in time to scrub evidence from the geological record before it becomes part of the geological record. They could get up to all sorts of shenanigans in the current age to hide their existence while casting suspicion on contemporary government conspiracies. I find the Time Traveller much more convincing and much more elegant that the logical twists you need to do to entertain your conspiracy theories. However, if you don’t mind tying yourself in knots, you must admit that my theory is at least equally plausible, reasonable, and as scientifically testable as yours. One day, though, the time travelers are going to slip up and create a timeline where they don’t exist. On that day we can feel safer but we won’t know that we can feel safe, since there will be no evidence that they don’t exist. Thus, they probably already don’t exist and we can be at ease. See? The problem takes care of itself.

@arnavrawat9864 It leaves open the possibility that a technologically advanced ancient civ used some other form of carbon, such as diamonds. This might explain the relative rarity of diamonds . 😉 (and no, I’m not being serious).
