@anthonymartell9880 A lot of Republican voters are listening to Chris Christie. They won’t vote for him in the primary (sadly), but they’re listening to what he has to say about Trump.

@LordRykard9376 They’re listening. They might not profess agreement, but they are listening to what he has to say and filing it away. And as Trump talks crazier and more extreme, they’ll remember what Christie has been saying.

But he’s not, really. The people he’s pissing off are the MAGA hardcore, the so called “base”. These are the most active (and loud), so they often are the deciding votes in primaries, but their stridency, not to mention their delusions, has been alienating ordinary conservative voters since 2020, if not longer. Back in 2015 there were some of us that saw Trump for what he was and could not support him. Unfortunately we were a small minority, but we’ve been growing. We grew enough by 2020 that Trump lost the election. Sadly, a large amount of non-MAGA Republicans will still vote for Trump because they have problems with Biden. But I don’t think they’re the types that would get mad at Pete for stating the simple facts. It’s the delusional cult members that will loudly argue with Peter.
