  1.  @sifu64  China’s crash is going to potentially have tsunami effects, not just ripples. One of the questions is will it be a soft crash from which they can recover or (worst case scenario) a very hard crash throwing the country into chaos. Or something in between. Ultimately, it’s mostly up to the CCP how it will play out. But world economic conditions and U.S. policy will also play a role in determining the outcome. The chaos that Trump is generating might give China’s government a short respite, but medium and long term it’s not going to help China or the U.S. or anyone else.

  2.  @janobrien1936  See, you’re thinking like we’re still in a normal world, and that Trump wouldn’t be acting so irrationally unless he was getting blackmailed. The truth is that he thinks he knows what he’s doing. And maybe he does know what he’s doing, it’s just that the thing he is doing will destroy us.
