  2. How important is RAM interconnect latency? Does putting your system on a chip matter? And from an economic standpoint, do power and thermal efficiencies matter? I’ve got a layman’s understanding, i.e., not much.

  3.  @dieselphiend  Even with more efficient processors, Google, MS, and others are considering nuclear power to meet future demand, either reactivating old plants or building smaller thorium reactors. It’s an interesting time in the nuclear energy space.

  4. If Trump got over his hatred of Mexico, we could be making other components there and assembling them into phones and other gadgets. Monterrey and Querétaro are prime candidates for light industrial/high tech, with León and Puebla being runner ups. The automotive industry provides a template for crossborder manufacturing.
