  1. From my ground level perspective (my unscientific observations), the young people are delaying having kids. The two young mothers in my circle of friends and acquaintances were 18 and 19 when they had their first hijos. A dozen years ago when I first moved down here, the ages when girls would get pregnant was closer to 15-16. I live in a working class neighborhood. I wonder if there isn’t also a technological aspect to this. Kids are more online today than ever before, thanks to cheap smartphones. Twelve years ago smartphones were for the rich and middle class kids. Nowadays every teenager has one. My sociological insight: the more time the spend online, the less time they spend fucking. 😂 Pretty deep, huh?
