  1. The sequestering of the waste is definitely a physical problem, and a long term one at that. We are basically kicking the can down the road, making it the problem of some future generation. That said, climate change is the more pressing problem as well as a worse problem than nuclear waste for future generations. Climate change might already be causing irreversible changes, but perhaps those changes can be mitigated by using nuclear energy. It’s quite ironic that the Greens created a political environment that now threatens the physical environment. Idealism can be just as dangerous as brutal cynicism.
