@jeremybrowand5941 I don’t think he’s blatantly lying. He’s revealing his own shortcomings and superficiality when it comes to getting outside his expertise. It’s not the first time he’s erred. Being blatantly uninformed and wrong isn’t the same as lying.

@gigabake Language has lost all meaning for some people. In 2015 I was a conservative. Holding the same political positions, in 2016 I was a liberal according to some of these people. Now apparently I am a socialist. Yup, that’s me, a fiscally conservative, pro-capitalism, cultural Marxist socialist.

@gigabake If you ask someone to back up their claims with facts or evidence, you’re suppressing them. Apparently. These people will be wrong about 10,000 things, but if their unsupported claims prove to be correct one time, they feel vindicated.

How long were you imprisoned for putting forward the lab leak theory? Which government agencies were tapping your phones, harassing you on the street, and issuing veiled threats towards your family? Were crowds of paid protestors outside your house every night? I assume one or more of these things happened to you, because suppression of ideas is a serious matter. Or perhaps maybe you mean someone online hurt your feelings by calling you a conspiracy nut? In addition, I hope you see the difference between jumping to a conclusion without evidence and coming to a conclusion based on investigation and evidence. They might both reach the same conclusion, but that doesn’t validate the former. Alex Jones hasn’t been proven right. He’s not even as accurate as a broken clock.

You’re assuming that the Chinese authorities are competent. The evidence is that they are not. What evidence has publicly come to light is that the provincial authorities were trying to cover up the epidemic from the higher authorities. The CCP and the different levels of government are a giant cluster f_ _k. This doesn’t make them less dangerous. If anything it makes them more dangerous because they might act less rationally (minor case in point, the spy balloon).

I wouldn’t be surprised if domestic and international flights are regulated by different branches, or that the aviation agency needs sign off from different governmental agencies for each type of flight. There is a misperception that the CCP and the Chinese government are well coordinated and efficient. Nothing could be further from the truth. I’m not going to assume intentionality or aggression when it’s not in evidence. This is just a peek behind the curtain at a dictatorship’s major clusterf_ _k.
