@Alex-Hu88 I speculate that this wasn’t meant to be serious. This is more like Cairo wanting attention from the EU and the U.S. Its possible that there is a faction that would sell arms to Russia, but the leadership wouldn’t allow a deal to go through—internal politics. I don’t doubt that Egypt has legitimate cause to seek Western attention because of the situation in Sudan. That speculation on my part isn’t too far fetched, but I’ll go further: Egypt talking to Russia about Russia’s military needs is providing specific military intelligence to the West.
