To be frank, this reconnaissance subplot isn’t something substantial in the overall picture of the violent mob attacking Congress. It’s not like floor plans of the various floors are closely held top secrets. Many many people are privy to the Capitol building’s layout. Show me rioters in possession of maps and using them in the planning and execution of the attack, and you’ll get my attention. Which is not to say that Boeber doesn’t bear any responsibility. If it’s not at the level of criminality, she should and can be punished politically—at the polls.
