  1. He’s going to annex portions of Ukraine, and use that as a pretext to use nuclear weapons. I’ve heard two different rumors about the referendums. 1) soldiers going door to door to collect ballots, and Russian citizens being allowed to vote. This presumably includes soldiers and anyone they care to bus in (even as they forcibly remove Ukrainians from their captured territories). Short of mass murder of Jews, Putin is following the Nazi crimes against humanity playbook.
