@terryslaughter1409 They probably won’t collect all the money, but they will collect some, and they will collect more over time. The defendants’ wages can be garnished for example—if they actually work and support themselves. The judge can order that assets be seized. All of which is to say that the plaintiffs are also being awarded the happy knowledge and warm feelings that the defendants actions are now causing dire financial consequences for the defendants. Thanks to case, the defendants’ lives are financially ruined for the long term.

These aren’t fines. These are damages awarded to the plaintiffs, to the tune of $26 million. I’m not sure how the damages are apportioned to the various defendants.
