  6. Why would anyone rent HVAC systems? Everything could run fine but it still might need replacing if it's old enough and not energy efficient. Heat pumps are the way to go and should replace old equipment. Heat pumps aren't too expensive (unless it's geothermal, then the installation costs are higher). Also heat pumps replace both heating and cooling in one unit. Even if there new efficiency ratings that's only applies to the manufacturers.

  7. Reverse osmosis does what should and removes almost everything from water. It's the sales tactics that are sketchy. Never buy a water filter system from the same company that tests the water.
