It can be proven from the population records of the countries the USSR occupied. For example, during the PRE WW2, mind you, Soviet invasion of Latvia the Soviets managed to kill so many that by their own records the population of the ENTIRE COUNTRY was reduced by 25%. I can literally talk to people in my family who witnessed it, there where so many bodys they struggled to find enough people in some areas remaining to even bury them
