Im trying to invision how that happens missionary and im not connecting the dots

Its great you point that out, ive been prescribed opioids 3 times on account of a bone infection (For 2 of them) and a surgury to fix it (for the 3rd) and they did exactly what they where supposed to do with minimal ill effects besides the expected lethargy and dizziness. I used them explicitly as prescribed and had no sense of addiction or craving. Nore did i like the subjective feeling, i found it nauseating and obnoxious as the sloppiness it introduces to motor skills makes doing basic tasks far more difficult than need be. Likewise i had a partner who got them simply due to wisdom teeth removal and it caused them some problems because they just happened to like them a bit to much. The drug itself is not good or evil, its simply a molecule that preforms a function in the body, and because the wide variety of bodys some people will inherently have an adverse reaction be it addiction, over sensitivity, under sensitivity ect. Thats just an inherent risk when it comes to any given medication

@ClamMan1989 but thats the point, Some people dont get pleasure from it, some might get it but not feel the compulsion to chase it, and some might try it once and its irrisistable, none of these people are "bad" its just luck, which is why we have to treat addiction as disease not moral failing

@YourLocalPatriot Well most people who use weed are not potheads, and moreover, psycotic symptoms tend to present earlier on, if someones been smokeing weed for years and hasent had a problem, they are not going to

@YourLocalPatriot Psycosis is a very uncommon side effect of marijuana use. Can it happen? sure, but its very uncommon, can be minimized by slow and low doseing and unlike psycosis from hallucinogens which can linger, goes away pretty much immediately after it wears off.

@bigdog1731 I mean used orally at resonable doses then yes, unironically meth is better for you than smokeing

@davidcaubergh6349 high carb diets help me. Just absolutely load up in the morning, bowl of pasta breakfast type thing. that with a stimulant and you go through the day on top of your game without the body ache

@Lisa-jj5rn Not that simple, stress, chronic pain, ect are KNOWN to be bad for a developing fetus, if its just recreational than yeah, just put it down, but if thats whats keeping someone from known harms than the possible harm becomes a matter of harm reduction to be discussed with a DR

@Django0324 Because it hurts thats why. Dont demonize the drug on its own, i had it post tooth removeal and had no sense of addiction at all, infact i hate the things, still have most of the bottle because i find the lethargy and slowness of thought obnoxious, and only used them when the pain was over my line of tollerence
2
@mikemiller659 good for you, whats that have to do with anything?
2
@mcozy333 Oh thats nonsence, if anything weed helps you not give a shit, thats why its good for relaxing

Culturally insensitive has been used in political diplomacy since the 1800s, is the woke in the room with us right now? Use 2 brain cells, if something is culturally taboo, than guess what being oblivious or ambivalent to that would be?
1
@Rootiga Nonsense, most drugs have some use, weed has quite a few as a muscle relaxant, vasodilator and pain reducer. I dont even like it recreationally, its not my thing, but in edible form it is an absolute miracle for muscle cramps because i can take a small enough amount psycological effects are nearly unnoticeable while it totally fixes the problem, while perscribed ones put you totally out of it

@diib3748 Exactly, in the case of TCH the lack of evidence showing harm should at the very least weigh its use during pregnancy in favor of the known harm it prevents. at this point if it where to be discovered that THC did cause a harm to development it is HIGHLY unlikely that that harm would be greater than the harm it treats, like you said, simple OTC anti inflammatory are PROVEN to cause developmental harms but their risk is considered worthwhile. There's no reason that any hypothetical harms caused by TCH should be weighed more heavily other than stigma.

@johnnyringo2690 Absolutely, One of my parents is very careful because they like them a bit too much, the other will refuse to take them even if in agnonizeing pain because the sensation sucks, my genes seem to have landed in the "I dont like it but i can tollerate it if the pain is bad enough" range

@mr.peetatto6469 My dude how do you end up with that to begin with

@dimarks444 good thing edibles exist, problem solved
