In older people it might not be that but sometimes its somthing that happened to them that hurt them , and the other person was different! Also some people in the government will use it to get into power or stay in power ! The way you can tell is by studying history and the people involved ! Think of knowledge as something you can use over and over again with out paying a price over and over, after the first time its free ! In your case now being young you will pay with time, soon you will have to pay money to lean or be smart and teach yourself using a library or even the internet!
