  1. I visited the Spruce Goose when it was on display in Long Beach, next to the Queen Mary. They showed a film of Hughes's testimony to Congress about it. I loved his simple answer when a Senator (or Congressman) said "Mr. Hughes, will you direct (somebody, an employee) to come down and testify before this committee?": "Why no, I don't believe I will."
