  1. The Russians have shown big problems in the logistics chain from day one. Ukraine has executed on this weakness very well. Especially since the beginning of August they've managed to really hurt Russia by blowing up ammo depots, rail way hubs and other concentrations of personel, vehicles and general supplies. If Ukraine can crank this to 11 during the muddy months, there may not be much left to fight once the ground freezes solid in late December.

  2. I don't know where you're getting your intel man. Every outside observer is guestimating that the casualty ratio is 4:1 in favour of Ukraine throughout the war, but that it's been more like 6:1 since Kharkiv was regained because the Ukrainians are now so well equipped, and constantly receiving freshly trained units from the UK, that they're mostly the ones who decides when and where, and thus bring forces accordingly.

  3. Yep. Gorillaen har ret. Sukkersyge, diskos prolaps, dødelig allergi af nogen art og en række andre tilstande er noget forsvaret ikke er villige til at accepterer. Du har helt sikkert styr på din sukkersyge (min kammerat har type A og er en total haj til alt det der hovedregning, så når han måler boldsukker gætter han sjældent over 1mmol/l galt) men det har forsvaret ikke, so hvis der SKULLE ske noget er de lidt fucked, da forsvaret er ansvarlige for dit liv og helbred. Du må gerne dø i krig, men du må ikke dø af andre årsager, så at sige. Men hjemmeværnet er mere large, og de opfylder in række sikkerhedsbehov for Danmark, ud over territorial beskyttelse. Hjemmeværnet er de første der bliver tilkaldt i forbindelse med større eftersøgninger feks. Og hvis du har hund (over en vis størrelse) er der også en lang række muligheder for at gøre en forskel.

  4. Impossible to say. Depends on how hard the Russian screw up on their own, and how much the Ukrainians can further "help" them in that regard. It could be bad, or it could be a complete catastrophe. It is also weather dependant. Mild winter or harsh winter will have an impact.

  6. It's important to remember that the Maginot line was bypassed. The Germans never faced it head on. They went over the Ardennes in Holland instead precisely because they knew it would be like charging a porcupine with your nose first.
