The load specification the Czechoslovakians used at the time was rather hot. Pretty comparable to .380+P. You'd most certainly not like to get hosed down by one of these, even at the 300 meter mark. Especially not in a time where flak vests were almost exclusively used by air craft crew.

@Rixoli It would, but harassing the enemy as far out as you can is key. It's a heck of a lot easier to mount a well coordinated combined assault if you don't have to constantly take cover and survey your best options for dashing forward among suitable terrain features. Even at 300 meters a hot .380 can make you bleed, so you're not just going to ignore it and play Superman. The odds of hitting you with an aimed shot is nearly zilch, but when their approach is hosing down the general area your odds get worse and worse the longer you're out of cover.
