  4. What? It just ENDS? Like, no more? They just... stopped? You let me to believe that the British are tradition bound people who will stick with it until the end of time. But apparently they're just quitters after all... These rifles could perfectly well have been adapted to modern standards and issued to disabled rear echelon diploma engineers who have opted out of the early retirement plan!

  5. Someone further up says it's got to do with harmonics and that the 7.62 version needs a center support to get the barrel to not vibrate. Sounds plausible enough to me having seen in slowmo just how much a rifle actually flexes and dances when fired.
