No, that was perfectly understandable. And as a Dane... I feel the same. I didn't know anything about the Madsen guns, etc, but Ian (as usual) did an entire series on them.

One of the top comments is a French guy who is laughing his ass of at how correct Ian is about this. You can't burn people with jokes they tell about themselves! :P

@beargillium2369 Old gunner here.. yup, that shit ain't the slightest bit smokeless when you're firing 155mm/6" Howitzers.... I've coughed my lunges out more times when I care to remember when we'd been shooting up wind and the breach block opened..

Ian is those sole reason for my interest in arms design - full stop. I started watching for the historical context of the weapons, but now I'm interested in manufacturing logistics, rifling twist rates, bullet jacket design, every aspect of mechanical reliability, the often colourful personalities behind the development... AND the historical context! :P

Yeah. That's about as epic as when he is showcasing some rare exotic variant of a rifle and just casually produces it's equally rare predecessor from his lap mid-sentence while talking... And I think it speaks volumes that absolutely nobody is surprised even in the slightest, but rather just mentally go "Well of cause you did..." :P
