  1. When fired from the hip, yes. It's easier to keep it forced down like that. Heck, it's easier to keep rifles with no front grip down if you fire from the hip too.

  2. In Denmark the G3 with Danish mods was called the M75. In Australia the FAL with Australian mods was called the SLR. Doesn't change the fact that they're G3s and FALs respectively. It's not until a licensed production is altered to the point of losing parts compatibility with the original that it "becomes it's own thing".
