Russia bought that land from Sweden, it was Swedish land. Russia gave that land to Finns to live on. Russia gave to Ukrainians Western Ukrainian land as well, taking it from Polish occupation. Do you understand it or not? It is Russia who freed Finns from Swedish occupation and gave land in Russian possession to Finns as a gift. For example North Americans bought land in today's USA from Indians - and put Indians in reservations. But Russia gave land it owned to Finns to thrive in.
